Lending a Helping Hand
Mokena Miracles is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization established in 2017, assisting Mokena families who are facing difficult challenges and struggles in their lives.
We accept donations throughout the year, and use those funds to enrich the lives of Mokena residents in need at the end of the year. Our goal is to reinvest the money raised back into Mokena. During the holiday season, we reach out to our neighbors in need to let them know they are an important part of the community.
The Mokena Miracles program offers all of us the opportunity to support those within our village who need help - those who may be dealing with financial or medical struggles, or families with children or elders with medical or physical disabilities.
How do your donations help? While we do provide Christmas gifts, Mokena Miracles is more than that! We are able to assist with:
-
Paid multiple months of rent payments
-
Funded repairs to family vehicles
-
Covered home repairs for everyday functions
-
Paid off outstanding medical bills
-
Provided fuel and grocery gift cards
-
and much more!
We continue to learn about several families in Mokena struggling through difficult circumstances. With your help, we've brought joy into the lives of 10 families since we began. We will do so again in 2021!
If you are interested in learning more, or can participate by donating financially or volunteering, please contact us or join our e-mail list to be kept up to date with future Mokena Miracles news and events.
We thank you for your interest and support!
